Dinner & Bible Study
The Prophets of the Old Testament
When: Wednesdays or Thursday (Te Be Determined), 7:00 PM (Fall 2008 & Spring 2009)
Where: Large Classroom, Mission House (133 West 46th Street), led by Father Mead

Throughout the Fall of 2008 and the Spring on 2009 we will study the prophets of the Old Testament.  We will read the stories of the prophets in the Books of the Kings, and we will read every book attributed to a prophet.  Our primary source will be the Bible.  Participants are encouraged to bring their own study bible (any translation).  Secondary (and recommended) reading is A History of Prophecy in Israel by Joseph Blenkinsopp and A History of Ancient Israel and Judah by J. Maxwell Miller and John H. Hayes. 

Dinner and a Bible Study meets at 7:00 PM and features a "rotating pot luck dinner" - each week food and drinks are provided by participants (who volunteer the week before).
