
The Reverend Matthew Hoxsie Mead has served as curate at Saint Mary's since 2004. He is the Curate for Liturgy and Christian Education at Saint Mary's.
He was born in Dorchester, Boston in 1976 to Andrew and Nancy Mead - Matthew has a sister, Emma. Matthew and Nicole DeCoursy Mead were married in 2004. They have one son, Liam, who was born in November of 2006.
He is a graduate of the University of Chicago, (B.A. Philosophy, 1998) and Yale University Divinity School (M.Div 2004) with a certificate in Anglican Studies from Berkeley Divinity School. While attending Yale Divinity School he served as seminarian intern at Saint James Episcopal Church in Fair Haven, Connecticut (2002-2004). Before he was curate, he also served at Saint Mary's as seminarian during the summer of 2003.
In addition to his work at Saint Mary's, Matthew has served since 2007 on the Diocesan Council of the Diocese of New York and on the Congregational Support Plan Committee of the Diocese of New York.
